This library was very close to our home. We used go for a walk everyday around this library. During the fall, the entire university is very colourful and scenic.

Lexington is the major centre for race horse breeding since the late 18th century. It has high calcium content in the soil which makes stronger bones and gives excellent durability in horses. you can view the keenland race course. you can also see the champion horses standing there, ready for the race. The city will be hosting 2010 world equestrian games.

I have to thank one of my friend for giving me this opportunity to enjoy in this place. We enjoyed our summer time in six flags.I remember that it was the weekend of Independence day. It was very enchanting for us to enjoy the entire day in water with our friends. I like water rides than dry rides. Six flags is in Louisville. We traveled to Louisville which is a city near Lexington. It is 45 min drive from our residing area. There is a cheese cake factory in Louisville where they show how cakes are made.

We visited the Cumberland falls during the summer time in 2008. It is called the little Niagra of the south. It is a large waterfall in the Cumberland river in south eastern Kentuchy. On average the falls, which flow over a resistant sandstone bed, are 68 feet (21 m) high and 125 feet (38 m) wide, with an average water flow of 3,600 cubic feet per second .The most interesting feature is that under a full moon on clear nights, an elusive lunar rainbow is sometimes formed by the mist emanating from the falls. My husband took me to this beautiful place on my birthday. It was a surprise visit. I enjoyed my every moment here.I thank god for giving me this opportunity to spend my birthday in this scenic place.

Natural Bridge State Resort Park is a Kentuchy state park located along the Middle Fork of the Red River, adjacent to the red River Gorge Geologic Area .We started early in the morning from Lexington and we reached after one hour. There was a mini golf place where I spent my time in playing golf with my husband. It was really fun.
We were playing golf for the first time in our life. I felt happy and I enjoyed a lot in the golf course. Natural bridge is the centerpiece of the park. The natural sandstone arch spans 78 ft (24 m) and is 65 ft (20 m) high. The natural process of weathering formed the arch over millions of years. The park is approximately 2,300 acres (9 km2) of which approximately 1,200 acres (5 km2) is dedicated by the Kentucky state Nature Preserves Commission as a nature preserve. There were a number of sky-lift or winch which were taking the people to the bridge.
I was very much eager to travel in a sky-lift for the first time in my life. It was fun and very beautiful to see the nature in winch. We reached the top in 5 minutes. From there we walked a few miles to reach the natural bridge. Natural Bridge has unique sandstone rock formations, including the original Balanced Rock. This is a huge block of sandstone balanced on the edge of a cliff near the Natural Bridge.
The spectacular formation, also called the "Balanced Rock", is located on Trail #2.In the early days of the Park, it was called the Sphinx because, when viewed from the correct angle, it crudely resembles the Sphinx in Egypt. Although it is now called the Balanced Rock, it is in fact a pedestal rock - a single piece of stone that has weathered in such a fashion that its mid-section is narrower than its cap or its base.
SHAKERS VILLAGE

It is a Pleasant Hill in Kentucky, located 25 miles (40 km) southwest of Lexington, inKentuckys Bluegrass region. My husband likes to visit historic places.so he took me to this place which is very nearer to our place.
It belongs to Shakers religious community that was active from 1805 to 1910. It is a National Historic Landmark, has become a popular tourist destination. It is also known as shakers town.
The place has its nineteenth-century architecture, crafts, and clothing. The Shakers were the early adopters of many new tools and techniques. In the early 1830s the Shakers of Pleasant Hill constructed a water tower on a high plot of ground. A horse-drawn pump lifted water into the tower, and from there a system of pipes conveyed it to the kitchens, cellars, and wash houses.
In the wash houses, washing machines (also powered by horses) were built to reduce the enormous chore of laundering the community's clothes and linens. Music was also an important part of Shaker life, with songs, hymns and anthems written by both men and women.
We viewed the museum exhibits and listened to the performances of Shaker music, We also observed artisans and farmers at work using traditional 19th century methods. We can also take a riverboat cruise of the Kentucky River.
An admission fee is required for most of the tours and exhibits. Overnight lodging is also available in many of the restored dwellings.
